Jamie Brooks
Principal, CHMS

Parents,

I am pleased to report that the North Carolina School Report Cards that were released this week have our school rated an overall grade of an "A." This grade represents a combination of EOG/EOC proficiency and growth rates. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment which would not be possible without our amazing staff, supportive parent community and outstanding students. We know that we have continued work to do as our Reading and Math grades were still at the "B" level. We will continue to make literacy a focus of everything we do while we also work to strengthen every child's math skills. It is our goal that each child reaches proficiency and we will strive to improve until we hit 100%. Community House was one of only four middle schools in CMS to receive an A. To see a list of all schools and their grades you can log on to the Charlotte Observer or visit the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction's website (DPI).
